This little “dice” spinner is actually extremely cool and useful for those campaigns on the go or where you just don’t have a lot of room to roll. It’s got a bit of this vintage trinket feel with its metal casing and a red resin fill over a neat dragon relief. The exterior finish isn’t totally perfect, and ironically I think that adds to the D&D charm.
The spinners work remarkably well. Like, shockingly so. Almost too well if you really give them gas. The bearings are extremely smooth and if you crank it, they will spin for a surprisingly long time. We got used to just using lighter spins. The numbers are arranged on the dials in a smart and complimentary way, and we haven’t run into any issues with them falling off.
The compact closes and stays closed with magnets, and it does come with a little leather-like pouch with a button snap. It works, but I wish it had the same vintage feel as the device itself. Wouldn’t be impossible to age and distress it with a little time and skill, though.
